Vision:
To encourage budding and professional photographers, who wish to influence the way people think through images, in the Nagarathar community.

Entry  Guidelines:
Photographs from any digital device, including smartphones will be accepted

Entry  Categories:
Category A: Theme: Festival of Lights, Diwali or Smile - single photo
Category B: Theme: Nagarathar Community, photo story (Five images that represent the theme)

About the Theme "Festival of Lights,     Diwali":
Images can depict anything related to the Festival of Lights, Diwali.  Express through pictures what the festival actually means to you!

About the Theme “Smile”:
Images in which people are smiling.  Use your innovation and show us creatively how a smile can brighten our day.

About the Theme "Nagarathar    Community":
Images can depict anything related to Nagarathars or Nagarathar Community. Shows us what comes to your mind first when you think of the Nagarathar Community.

Awards and  Prizes:
The Jury's Choice: 1 award. The winner will receive a trophy and an award certificate.  This Prize will be selected separately from the 1st place for each category.
1st Place: 1 award per category.  The winner will receive a trophy and an award certificate.
2nd Place: 2 awards per category.  The winner will receive a trophy and an award certificate.
3rd Place: 5 awards per category.  The winner will receive a trophy and an award certificate.
Award for the Most Popular Entry: 1 award.  The winner will receive a trophy and an award certificate.  
Budding Photographer Award: For the most promising entrants under age 19 with a fresh take on the world.  5 awards.  The winners will receive an award certificate.

Note:
Prizes are subject to change without notice and cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.

Registration Closes at 11.59pm (Indian standard time) on 15th December 2014
Entry Period: 01/12/2014(Monday) to 15/12/2014 (Monday) (Starts at 12.01am on 01/12/2014 and  ends at 11.59 pm on 15/12/2014. Indian Standard Time)

Note: Any changes in the entry period will be notified to all the registered participants.

Eligibility:
The contest is open to all Nagarathars, professional and amateur, regardless of age or sex.

Note:
Entrants under 18 years of age require the permission of a parent or guardian.  By entering the contest, entrants under 18 years of age indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.

Submission Rules:
Entry is limited to original works that have not formerly been displayed or exhibited and to which the entrant holds all applicable rights.  Works that have won prizes in other contests or that have been submitted to other contests currently underway are not eligible.  Works that are entered in other competitions after submitting to this contest will not be eligible.
1. Entries are limited to a total of ten works; for example, two entries in Category A and one entry in Category B would be counted as a total of seven works.
2. The same works or portions of the same works cannot be submitted to both the single photo category and photo story category.

Submission   Guidelines: 
1. Image data files created with any digital devices including smartphones, digital still cameras (including medium and large-format cameras).  Images that have been retouched using software or by other means will be accepted.  Retouched photography using camera app or photo editing app is also accepted.  Both color and monochrome images will be accepted.  We will not be accepting any entries taken on film.  Scans of photographs take by film cameras are not eligible.
2. File size: Upto 20 MB per  work.
3. File format: JPEG/150 dpi  recommended
4. The standard color space for the judging process is RGB

Note:
Winners may be requested to provide higher resolution images for publication or display purposes related to the contest.

How to  Enter:
Step 1:
Fill out the registration form available in our blog http://nagaratharsangamtry.blogspot.in/ before on 11.59pm  15th December 2014 (Indian Standard Time).

Step 2:
You will receive an acknowledgement message along with your Participation number . (If it is not received within 3 days contact Info desk 7373112444)

Step 3:
Mail us your photos to nagaratharsangamtry@gmail.com between 01/12/2014 (Monday) and 15/12/2014 (Monday). (Start at 12.01am on 01/12/2014 and ends at 11.59pm on 15/12/2014)
Subject of the mail should be:  Your Name_ Mobile No_ Participation No_ Category
Eg: Palaniappan_7373112444_001_Category A
Or

Notification to Winners:
The winners will be notified through email and a message.

Note:
The organisers will not accept liability of any disadvantages that may arise as the result of inability to receive the Entry.
Award ceremony cum Exhibition:
All are invited to the Award ceremony cum Exhibition which will be held on Pillaiyar Nombu  Festival 27.12.2014 @ Chettinad Arts & Science College, Pirattiyur, Trichy.
